Beach

Dolls Point marks the northern entrance to the Georges River and between the low sandy point and the Rocky Point 2.3 km to the southwest, are five irregular beaches (BB 11-15) all facing south across the river mouth. Dolls Point beach (BB 11) commences at the rock groyne and trends to the southwest for 550 m past a jetty and the small tidal pool, to a western inflection in the sandy shore at a groyne in front of the George River Sailing Club. The crenulate beach is moderately steep and reflective, and faces across the deep 1 km wide river mouth to Towra Point (beaches BB 19 & 20). The usually calm beach is backed by road and houses on the point, then the 10 ha Peter Depena Reserve, which includes the large sailing club and adjacent large car park. Be careful if swimming off the beach, as besides the deep water there are strong tidal currents associated with the river mouth.

Swimming

Lady Robinsons Beach is one of the most popular in Sydney, offering usually calm conditions, as well as four tidal pools, backed in places by extensive parks. The tidal pools at Dolls Point and Sandringham are more difficult to access but also heavily used by locals.

Surfing

None.

Fishing

The rock groynes are the most popular location.
