At the point the shore turns and trends south with three eastern shore beaches (NT 1377-1379) occupying 6 km of shore. Beach NT 1377 curves south of the point for 1.5 km to a section of laterite rocks and flats and scattered mangroves, while coral flats extend 500 m offshore.
