Beach

Beach NT 1471 commences on the west side of the 500 m wide Robinson River mouth, and extends east for 5.2 km to onlap with beach NT 1470. The beach is a curving convex-shaped strip of sand, lying in lee of the 1 km wide river mouth shoals in the west, which narrow to 200 m at the eastern boundary creek. It is backed by a 500 m wide series of Holocene spits, the Pleistocene barrier deposits.
