Beach
On the north side of the town is a 70 m long east facing steep shingle beach (332) fronted by rock flats, and backed by the reserve. In the town is first the small 50 m long sand beach (333) on the south side of the boat ramp, with the caravan park on the backing bluffs, and 200 m to the south, a second 100 m long low beach (334) running south of the southern jetty. A slipway also crosses this beach, with boats both stored on the beach and moored over the sand flats.
Swimming
A tidal pool is located on the northern foreshore reserve and is the best place for swimming. The beaches are generally unsuitable, owing to the rocks, shallow flats and boat traffic at high tide.
Surfing
None.
Fishing
Best off the two jetties.
