Beach 1090 is a third recurved spit, which is attached to the coast and runs for 1.2 km to the western end of its neighbour (1091). Both beaches are fronted by extensive seagrass covered sand flats.
Five low energy ‘bay’ beaches lying at the tip of the Calca Peninsula, all fronted by shallow sand flats and backed by private farmland.
