Beach

The 2 km wide creek mouth contains two low barrier Islands fronted by 1 km wide sandy tidal flats, and surrounded by tidal creeks and mangroves. The western island (1200) is 700 m long with the main creek forming the boundary between it and Point Lindsay.

 

Swimming

The best location is at the road access at the western end of Point Lindsay beach. Be careful in the creek, as there are deep tidal channels and currents, while shallow tidal flats front the other beaches.

 

Surfing

None.

 

Fishing

Acraman Creek is a popular location for boat and shore fishing.

 

General

A natural coastal system containing the creek, mangroves and the beaches, all preserved in the conservation park.
