Beach

Beach 1393 is an 800 m long beach backed by low bluffs, with four substantial rock outcrops along the shore, each resulting in strong rips, then a 300 m wide surf zone.

Swimming

These are six high energy beaches, all dominated by a high outer surf zone and strong reef-controlled rips in the inner surf zone. Be very careful if swimming here as high wave set-up and set-down at the shoreline can trap the unwary.

Surfing

There are numerous beach and reef breaks along this section and generally good access.

Fishing

The permanent rips provide several relatively safe spots for fishing this energetic coast.

General

A relatively accessible stretch of exposed, high energy shoreline, with good 4WD access to all the beaches.
