Beach

Beach 1442 is located 2 km west of Twin Rocks. It consists of a 50 m pocket of sand lying is an indentation in the Nullabor Cliffs. A tourist drive to whale viewing points runs along the cliffs, with a car park located 100 m in from the beach. The beach however, can only be accessed via a steep climb down the cliff debris. It has a rock strewn inner surf zone that faces west across the 200 m wide outer surf zone.

Swimming

The Twin Rocks beach is moderately safe close inshore on the low gradient bar, while the main beach is exposed, high energy and dominated by large inshore rips.

Surfing

The main beach offers some energetic beach and reef breaks.

Fishing

There are large rip holes along the main beach, as well as scattered shoreline reef.

General

Many visitors now view these beaches from the Twin Rocks tourist drive, with only a very few venturing down to the beaches, and barely a soul venturing into the surf.
