Beach

Beach T 683 lies 500 m north of Alfhild Bight to the lee of Hobbs Island. It is a 300 m long high tide beach set amongst a rocky shore, with intertidal rocks and reefs dominating the low energy surf zone. There is only one area of intertidal sand towards the northern end, where waves averaging about 1 m break across a 50 m wide sand and rocky bar. It is backed by a generally well vegetated foredune, then densely vegetated slopes.
