Beach

Adventure Bay Beach (BI 16) commences on the southern side of the head in a sheltered corner called Quiet Corner and curves to the southeast, then east for 3 km to the eastern Kadens Corner against Blackfellows Point. The beach is reflective its entire length with wave height gradually decreasing to the east. The road parallels the rear of the beach, with a narrow reserve between the road and beach. Captain Cook Creek is deflected to the east behind the beach crossing it a few hundred metres west of Kadens Corner, forming a small tidal delta. Houses back either end of the beach, with a central caravan park and boat ramp in Kadens Corner. The historic beach has a museum to Captain Bligh, Captain Cook and Captain Foveaux all of whom anchored in the bay to replenish their water supplies.
