Beach
WA 114 lies 100 m to the west and is a 300 m long strip of sand located along the southern slopes of Mount Belches. The beach lies in lee of Lorraine Island and protrudes as a slight foreland with seagrass growing just off the beach. It is accessible by vehicle down the backing granite slopes and used to launch boats across the beach while the beach and western rocks are used as a car park To the west of Mount Belches the coast trends west and continues to be dominated by granite outcrops forming both headlands and islands. Beaches WA 115-118 occupy the first 6 km of coast with the four beaches bordered by the prominent granite headlands of Mount Belches, Cheyne Point and the 120 m high spur at the western end of Victoria Harbour. Wharton Beach also marks the eastern boundary of the spectacular Cape Le Grande National Park.
