Beach K 55 commences on the western side of the small creek mouth, and trends west for 700 m to East Sandy Point. The low energy beach faces south across 1 km wide sand flats. Its exposure to southerly winds has produced some minor dune transgression extending 300 m inland and rising to 21 m.
