Between Lucy Ravel Point and Pier Head is 4 km of rock-dominated shore, containing five small and relatively exposed sandy beaches around the point, and a boulder beach on the head. There are patches of cleared land around the point and a holiday shack overlooking beach 1243. Beaches 1243 and 1244 face north-east, exposing them to slightly higher waves. They are 200 m and 400 m long respectively, separated by a 20 m high, cleared headland with a solitary shack. Both beaches have 200 m wide intertidal beaches, with longer rocky points and rock flats bordering each beach.
