Snug Cove is the port of Eden. Development of the port commenced in 1862, with a major expansion in 1987. It consists of a 330 m long attached breakwater protecting its southern entrance, two 100 m long jetties, and a smaller northern groyne sheltering the boat ramp. Curving for 100 m west of the boat ramp groyne is Sung Cove beach (NSW 682), which faces south into the cove. It is a sheltered narrow usually calm reflective sand beach, backed by vegetated bluffs rising to 10 m then a sloping grassy reserve, and the houses of Eden.
