Two kilometres west of Mowarry Point is a 500 m wide north-facing rocky bay containing two small north-facing, pocket beaches at its base (Fig. 4.434). The western beach (NSW 705) is a 50 m long pocket of sand and cobble located at the mouth of a small creek. It consists of steep high tide beach fronted by a 60 m wide low tide bar, with waves averaging 1 m breaking across the bar and generating a rip against the eastern rocks. It is backed by some partially cleared land and a shack and can be accessed on foot along the coastal walk. Beach NSW 706 lies 300 m to the east and is a 140 m long steep cusped sandy reflective beach, that faces northeast between north-trending red rocky points. The eastern point extends 300 m north and together with the orientation of the beach affords considerable protection from waves, which average about 0.5 m. The beach has a small creek against the eastern end, with several hectares of cleared slopes behind and is also accessed off the coastal walking track.
