Cowdroys Beach (NSW 654) continues southwest of the small headland for 1.5 km, before curving round to face northeast in lee of Baronda Head. The waves and rips continue down the beach, with the southern corner affording some protection from southerly waves by the point and reef lying off the beach (Fig. 4.416). The beach is backed by 400-500 m vegetated slopes rising in places to 30 m, with Nelson Lagoon behind. There is vehicle access in the north and at the southern end.
Beach Length: 1.3km
