Newtons Beach (NSW 716) commences 400 m to the south. This is a relatively straight 1.7 km long sand beach backed in the centre by the usually blocked Wirra Wirra Creek and its narrow lagoon, which is deflected 700 m to the north, where it is joined by Mountain Gum Creek. Elsewhere slope rise to 200-300 m behind the beach. The maintenance track descends from Tumbledown Mountain to the rear of the beach. It is well exposed to southerly waves which maintain the usually detached bar and rips the length of the beach, including strong rips against the boundary rocks.
Beach Length: 1.9km
General Hazard Rating: 6/10
