Poole Beach (NSW 613) is a 100 m long pocket beach bordered by densely vegetated 10 m high bluffs, that converge to form a small V-shaped valley. A low foredune and usually dammed creek occupy the rear of the beach. Waves average 1.5 m and maintain a wide bar; with permanent rips running out along the boundary rock platforms (Fig. 4.403). The car park is located on the northern bluffs. The southern beach (NSW 614) is located in the next small valley, and is a similar 200 m long sandy beach and wide bar, with rips against the rocks at either end.
