Boat Harbour (NSW 333) is a curving 150 m long, south-facing, beach formed behind a 50 m wide break in the 10-15 m high sandstone rocks on the southwestern tip of the Kurnell Peninsula. It can only be reached by 4WD, boat or on foot. The narrow entrance lowers waves to less than 1 m at the beach, maintaining a steep reflective beach, bordered by rock platforms. Fishers have long used this as a site for storing and launching their small boats and their shacks and boats still dominate the beach.
