Ricketts Road runs to another small, 100 m long beach (1499) that is partially backed by private property, with access from the road down a small creek drainage easement on the north side of the beach. The beach has a narrow, high tide cobble and boulder beach fronted by an 80 m wide, low gradient sand bar that covers some of the bordering basalt boulders. There are a few tidal pools on the northern boulder flats.

Swimming

These beaches are relatively safe on the bars and clear of the rocks, however if there is any surf care must be taken owing to the rocks and rip currents, usually against the northern boundary rocks.

Surfing

These beaches receive both low wind waves and occasional swell, with the best surf over suitable reefs toward high tide.

Fishing

The rocks and groyne at The Oaks are the best places to reach deep water.

General

Three small and very accessible beaches, providing sand access to the sea on an otherwise rocky coast.
