Emmagen Creek is a permanently open creek that has built a cobble delta that protrudes 100 m from the shore. On the southern side of the delta is a 400 m long sandy beach, that is backed by the densely vegetated creek floodplain, with trees hanging over the beach, and fronted by a fringing coral reef. The beach faces east and receives waves averaging 0.5 m at high tide which produce a low surf, while sand and reef flats are exposed at low tide. The Cooktown Road runs 400 m west of the beach, however there is no vehicle access.
Beach Length: 0.3km
General Hazard Rating: 3/10
