On the southern side of Cape Tribulation are two beaches, totalling 4.5 km in length and separated by Myall Creek. Both beaches have low gradient, narrow, high tide beaches backed by palm trees and tropical vegetation, and fringed with patches of coral reef.
The southern beach, Myall Creek Beach (675), is 2 km long, faces south-east and has a more continuous fringing coral reef. Both beaches have good access, being located just east of the Cooktown Road, and are very popular spots for swimming and viewing the reef. There is a private camping area at Myall Creek.
