This 1.4 km long, north-east facing beach lies at the base of 200 m high, steep, vegetated slopes. The beach is crenulate alongshore owing to extensive fringing coral reefs and a small headland that truncates the northern end of the beach at high tide. The beach is moderately steep, with deep water off the beach at high tide, while at low tide two patches of coral reef extend up to 1 km offshore. There is a residence on the slopes overlooking the southern end of the beach, but otherwise no development and no vehicle access.
