Bramston Point forms a major promontory. The backing slopes rise to 560 m and its densely vegetated slopes run right down to the shoreline, where the tropical vegetation overhangs the steep, narrow beaches that fringe the base. It is composed of granitic rocks, and large granite boulders and rocks border all beaches, breaking some of the beaches into a series of smaller sandy pockets. There is no vehicle or foot access to these beaches and no facilities.Bramston Point (south) (753) is a straighter, 800 m long beach that faces more easterly. It has a small creek that is impounded behind the northern end, forming a small lagoon. The creek crosses the beach next to some large boulders. It has a steep beach face and a continuous bar along the base of the beach, across which waves break at mid to low tide.

Swimming

All three beaches have relatively deep water off the beach at high tide, and waves breaking across the bar at mid to low tide. Rips only occur when waves exceed 0.5 m. Be careful of the many rocks, that may be submerged at high tide.

Surfing

Only sloppy beach breaks across the bar at mid to low tide.

Fishing

There are numerous vantage points along these beaches, both on the beaches at high tide and on the many rocks, as well as the small creek on Bramston Point (south) Beach.

General

Three natural beaches that are really only accessible by boat, all offering dense tropical vegetation literally overhanging the sea.
