Pebbly Beach is a curving, north-east facing beach lying between 100 m high Yule Point and 40 m high White Cliffs. The Cook Highway skirts the northern half, providing excellent views and access. However there are no facilities at the beach. The beach is named after the shingle and cobbles which compose the steep high tide beach, that grades into sand lower down the beach and on the bar. Removal of the cobbles is prohibited. Rocks outcrop at either end and there are some rock flats on the bar.

Swimming

This beach receives moderate waves and usually has a narrow surf zone that is best for swimming at mid to high tide.

Surfing

The waves break across a narrow bar, producing a low, sloppy beach break.

Fishing

Best off the rocks at high tide.

General

A very accessible beach right by the highway.
