Bingal Bay is an open, east facing bay, occupying the 5 km of coast between Garner Beach and Clump Point (Fig. 4.21). The Bingal Bay Road reaches the coast at Bingal Bay Beach, while all six beaches in the bay are accessible by vehicle. There are some shops at Bingal Bay, but otherwise limited tourist facilities. There are three beaches in the northern part of the bay - Brooks, Bingal Bay and Bicton Hill.
Brooks Beach (779) can be reached via a steep gravel road off the Garner Beach Road. It leads to a few houses and provides 4WD access to the beach, which is used by locals to store and launch boats. There is limited parking and no facilities. The beach is 700 m long, bordered by a 40 m high headland with fronting rock and coral reef, and 60 m high Ninney Point in the south. It faces east and receives waves averaging 0.5 m which, when large, can cut up to 10 rips across the low tide bar.
Beach Length: 0.7km
