Between Liverpool Creek and Muff Creek, 11 km to the south, are three lower energy beaches dominated by the presence of extensive fringing coral reefs and three creek mouths. Only the central Kurrimine Beach is accessible via the Murdering Point Road. Kurrimine has a beachfront location and offers a range of caravan parks, a resort and limited shopping and tourist facilities, as well as a concrete beach boat ramp. There is no road access to the northern Murdering Point Beach, nor to the southern Maria Creek Beach although there is a boat ramp located in Muff Creek, which forms the southern boundary of the beach. Kurrimine Beach (775) is a popular holiday destination, offering the above facilities and a relatively safe beach. The beach is approximately 3.5 km long, running south-west from Murdering Point to the low, long, narrow spit that forms the northern side of Maria Creek mouth. Housing development backs all the beach to the spit, while the length of the spit varies depending on the location of Maria Creek. The beach is calm at low tide and fronted by sand flats and ridges, with low waves lapping against the steep high tide beach. A fixed stinger net is operational during the stinger season, which is usable at mid to high tide. This beach is also experiencing erosion, particularly around the boat ramp and adjoining caravan park.
