Between Liverpool Creek and Muff Creek, 11 km to the south, are three lower energy beaches dominated by the presence of extensive fringing coral reefs and three creek mouths. Only the central Kurrimine Beach is accessible via the Murdering Point Road. Kurrimine has a beachfront location and offers a range of caravan parks, a resort and limited shopping and tourist facilities, as well as a concrete beach boat ramp. There is no road access to the northern Murdering Point Beach, nor to the southern Maria Creek Beach although there is a boat ramp located in Muff Creek, which forms the southern boundary of the beach. The southern Maria Creek Beach (776) is a low wave energy, but dynamic, beach that varies considerably in shape and length, depending on the nature of the creek mouth and adjacent northern spit. It can be up to 1.5 km long and usually consists of a narrow high tide beach, fronted by low, 500 m wide, intertidal sand flats that consist of several low ridges and runnels. In addition, Liverpool Creek drains across the northern end of the flats and the smaller Muff Creek cuts across the southern end of the beach, stranding the southern corner at high tide.
