Immediately east of the southern end of Agnes Water Beach is a 200 m long, rocky headland, on the southern side of which begins a series of generally small, rock-bound beaches that extend for 7 km to Red Rock. The first three beaches lie within 300 m of the point and, although close to Agnes Water, they are only accessible by 4WD or on foot.Beach 1474 is a 300 m long beach that faces initially north-east, swinging around to face north in lee of the next headland. It is backed by wooded, sloping land, with rocky points to either end, as well as some rocks along the beach. Waves average over 0.5 m at the northern end, but decrease in height in the more rock-dominated southern corner. There is 4WD access to the beach and some clearings in amongst the trees behind the beach.

Swimming

Rips occur on these beaches whenever waves are breaking and particularly toward low tide, so use caution. The southern end of beach 1474 offers the lowest waves and safest swimming, however beware of the rocks.

Surfing

Chance of a surf on the northern end of beach 1474; the other two are too rocky.

Fishing

This entire strip of sand and rock coast offers rock fishing, as well as rock gullies and rip holes.

General

Well worth a walk around the head from Agnes Water for three more secluded beaches, that are also accessible by 4WD.
