Between the end of the long beach 1409 and Sandhill Trig Station, 5.5 km to the south, is a predominantly rocky coast containing six exposed, rock-bound beaches. The beaches are all backed by vegetated, dune covered rocks and there is a landing strip 1 km west of beach 1413. There are 4WD tracks leading to all the other beaches and to shacks located behind beaches 1411, 1413 and 1414, but otherwise no development or facilities.
Beach 1415 lies at the base of 70 m high Sandhill Trig Station; a dune-capped, bedrock hillock. The beach is 800 m long and curves around to face north in lee of a densely vegetated, 30 m high point. It is bounded by low, rocky points and backed by densely vegetated, dune-capped bluffs, with three patches of rocks across the 100 m wide low tide beach. Fresh water drains out of the dunes and bluffs and saturates the beach, resulting in no high tide beach in the southern corner and melaleuca trees hanging over the beach.
Beach Length: 0.8km
