On the southern side of the rocks is a 2.2 km long, more easterly facing beach (F5) which, while bordered by prominent rocks, is fronted by deeper reefs and as a consequence has a straighter, more continuous high tide beach and low tide bar, although there are some rocks toward the centre. A low foredune runs the length of the beach, with some minor sand blows and largely stabilised, low dunes up to 300 m wide.
