Spit End is a series of vegetated, recurved sand spits located at the south-western tip of Rodds Peninsula. There is no vehicle access to the spit, which remains in a natural state. Beach 1441 faces south into Rodds Harbour and consists of a narrow high tide beach fronted by 100 to 200 m wide tidal flats, with deeper water off the flats maintained by the tidal currents. A small tidal creek drains across the middle of the beach.
