The central section of Halifax Bay consists of relatively undeveloped beaches. This is partly because the backing swamps make access difficult. South of Forrest Beach is 12 km of coast containing three beaches and one access track. This section of the bay is also more exposed, with east facing beaches like Forrest Beach. Orient - Cattle Creek Beach (835) is very similar to Bronte; 4.7 km long, backed by swamps and fronted by a rip-dominated low tide bar; however there is no vehicle access and no development.
Beach Length: 4.7km
General Hazard Rating: 3/10
