South of Carmila beach the coast continues on as a series of increasingly low energy beaches, bordered by numerous creeks and fronted by extensive intertidal sand flats, with mangroves increasing toward Clairview. While the highway runs just a few kilometres inland, there is only 4WD access to the coast just north of Clairview. Between Feather and Oaky Creeks is 15 km of coast consisting of five beaches, all bordered by creeks draining the backing Connors Range. The land between the highway and the coast increasingly gives way from sugar farms to cattle grazing areas.
Stockyard Creek beach (1202) is also wedged between two creek mouths, Stockyard and Lantana, located only 700 m apart. The beach runs essentially straight between the creeks and consists of a low beach ridge fronted by 1 km wide tidal flats and backed by a 500 m wide series of eight beach ridges, then some high tide salt flats. There is an access track to the beach across the flats and ridges, but no development.
