South of Carmila beach the coast continues on as a series of increasingly low energy beaches, bordered by numerous creeks and fronted by extensive intertidal sand flats, with mangroves increasing toward Clairview. While the highway runs just a few kilometres inland, there is only 4WD access to the coast just north of Clairview. Between Feather and Oaky Creeks is 15 km of coast consisting of five beaches, all bordered by creeks draining the backing Connors Range. The land between the highway and the coast increasingly gives way from sugar farms to cattle grazing areas. Lantana Creek beach (1203) represents the end of the 22 km of prograding beach and foredune coast between West Hill and the bedrock that backs the southern end of the 4 km long beach. The beach begins at the joint mouth of Lantana and Bluewater Creeks, where it forms a 300 m long spit, and runs to the south-east as a slightly curving beach to where the gently rising coastal plain reaches the coast. The narrow high tide beach is fronted by 1 km wide tidal flats and backed by a series of older recurved spits along the northern 1.5 km, which represent northward migration of Bluewater Creek. To the south it is initially backed by a 200 to 300 m wide beach ridge plain, then the coastal plain for the southern 1 km. The beach ends at a small unnamed creek. A 4WD track parallels the back of the southern half of the beach.
