The two Daintry creeks drain the southern slopes of the Mount Funnel Range, with prominent Mount Funnel, a volcanic neck, lying 5 km west of the northern creek mouth. There is an access track running a few hundred metres behind the two beaches, with tracks to both beaches and to about ten shacks on the southern headland.
Little Daintry Creek beach (1179) is similar, lying between the creek mouth and the southern headland. It is 1 km long with sand and rock flats, plus extensive rock flats along the northern side of the headland that protrudes 500 m east of the beach. The access track leads to the fishing shacks strung along the eastern and southern sides of the partially cleared headland.
