Between Allom and Glendower Points is an open, east facing, 6 km wide, low energy bay, with Dawson Creek located in the centre. Apart from one 4WD track that crosses the high tide flats to the southern Allom Point beach, there is no vehicle access or development on any of the beaches.
Immediately south of the Allom Point rocks are two sandy beaches that receive waves averaging less than 0.5 m. The first (1153) is 1.25 km long, faces north-east and consists of a narrow high tide beach backed by a 500 m wide, melaleuca-covered beach ridge plain and fronted by low gradient, 200 m wide sand flats that widen to the south. The point borders the northern end and a small area of rock flats the southern end. On the other side of the rock flats is beach 1154, an 800 m long, east-north-east facing, low energy beach fronted by up to 1.5 km wide tidal flats and backed by a similar low beach ridge plain. This beach ends at a low rocky point that forms the northern side of Dawson Creek. The 4WD track leads to the southern end of this beach.
Beach Length: 1.25km
