Between Allom and Glendower Points is an open, east facing, 6 km wide, low energy bay, with Dawson Creek located in the centre. Apart from one 4WD track that crosses the high tide flats to the southern Allom Point beach, there is no vehicle access or development on any of the beaches. Dawson Beach (1156) makes up most of the eastern shore of the ‘bay’. It is 2.4 km long, faces north-north-east and is essentially a highly crenulate, rocky shore, with a narrow high tide sand beach fronted by rock and sand flats. The flats decrease in width from 2 km at the creek to 100 m at the north end of the beach.
Beach Length: 2.4km
