These five Ince Bay beaches are all relatively isolated, low energy and with no development, other than partly cleared grazing land behind beach 1165. Much of the bay's 40 km2 is dominated by intertidal sand flats that in places extend 3 km out from the shore.
Cape Creek drains the eastern end of Ince Bay and has a 2 km wide, funnel-shaped entrance between the eastern side of Hogan's Camp Island and beach 1168. This beach is a 1.7 km long, north-west facing strip of partially cleared beach ridges and spits, backed by up to 1.5 km of mangroves and fronted by 1 km wide tidal flats. A number of mangroves also fringe the northern portion of the low energy beach. It is bordered by a small, mangrove-fringed creek to the north and a 100 m wide tributary of Cape Creek to the south. There is 4WD access to the beach across the tidal flats and a track running down the spine of the beach ridges.
