Hay Point is a prominent headland, now dominated by a large coal loading facility and two long jetties extending north-east from the point. The point is serviced by the small settlement of Hay Point, that includes a beachfront hotel and caravan park, but no shops. The Hay Point Road runs right out to the point and provides good access to the beach. On the southern side of shallow Breens Creek mouth is a 500 m continuation of Salonika beach (1136). This section of beach is backed by the rocks of Point Victor, with small but reef-bound Victor Islet lying 2 km offshore. The beach is fronted by wide sand flats near the creek mouth, with 50 m wide rock flats increasing in dominance toward the point.
Beach Length: 0.5km
