Mentmore Beach (1078) is similar but longer, with a slightly larger tidal creek draining across the southern end of the beach, and sand flats that widen from a 100 m wide bar in the north to 600 m wide, ridged sand flats in the south. Waves average less than 0.5 m on both beaches. The only land access to the beaches is via farm tracks, which lead to a solitary shack behind the middle of the beach.
