To the east of Hervey Creek is 6 km of coast that trends east-south-east, has numerous rocky outcrops, a few small creeks and seven generally curving to irregular low energy beaches, fronted by extensive sandy tidal flats averaging 300 to 500 m. The beaches are backed by gently rising slopes that have been cleared for grazing. There are farm tracks to the coast and beaches, but otherwise no public access and no development or facilities. Rosella Creek (west) is a 1.3 km long, north-east facing beach (1073) that extends from a low rocky point to a double creek mouth. Sandy tidal flats off the beach widen from 300 m at the point to over 1 km at the creek mouth. Rosella Creek (east) (1074) extends in an irregular fashion from the eastern side of the creek mouth around the northern side of a low rocky point. It is fronted by up to 500 m of sandy flats together with rocky outcrops close to shore.
Beach Length: 0.7km
