Monkey Beach (GK11) is a 550m long, curving, south-west facing beach bordered to the south by 20m high and 500m long Monkey Point. In lee of the point is a fringing reef, with 200 to 300m wide sand flats between the reef and the narrow high tide beach. The beach receives low, lapping waves at high tide and is protected by the reef at low tide. There is a coastal walking track along the beach, that follows the rocks along the northern end and around a steep, wooded point to the northern beach (GK12).
Beach Length: 0.55km
