Sabina Point is the most prominent headland in the southern half of Shoalwater Bay. It protrudes 700 m north-east into the bay, but is only 10 m high. Extensive intertidal rock flats lie bayward of the point, while two sandy beaches (1290, 1291) and fronting tidal flats lie to either side. A vehicle track reaches the point where there are a couple of old fishing shacks; otherwise there are no facilities.
Sabina Point beach (1290) is 1.4 km long and faces east into the Trades. It is bordered by the point in the north and the protruding spit and mangroves of Rocky Creek in the south. Due to its orientation a low, casuarina-covered foredune has developed behind the 50 m wide high tide beach. Tidal flats that are 300 m wide at the point widen to over 1 km off the creek mouth.
