On the southern shores of the low headland that forms West Bight is a second low energy beach-tidal flat (1282), that begins amongst the mangroves of the southern bight and winds its way for 1.2 km to the point. It has a narrow high tide beach fronted by shallow tidal flats with a scattering of mangroves.
