Balgal is the first small coastal settlement south of Forrest Beach and lies at the entrance to Rollingstone Creek. North of the creek is a 1.5 km long, low energy beach (839), that is also crossed by the mouth of small Hencamp Creek. This beach consists of a east facing, relatively narrow and steep high tide beach, while low tide exposes sand and rock flats extending up to 500 m seaward of the creek mouths.
