There is no vehicle access to any of the beaches and all are backed by an extensive tidal plain.Barramundi Creek Beach (884) is an arching, 2.5 km long, low sand spit, with dynamic recurved spits at either end. Consequently it changes shape and length over the years. It is backed by older spits separated by extensive mangrove forests, and fronted by 3 km wide tidal flats off the creek, that narrow to 500 m in the centre of the beach.

Swimming

None of these beaches or tidal flats are really suitable for swimming owing to the shallow water, strong tidal currents in the creeks and possibility of crocodiles.

Surfing

None.

Fishing

Excellent fishing in all the creeks along this fertile marine environment.

General

An isolated, low energy shore fronting a wide, flat, swampy coastal plain. It is mainly the domain of local fishers.
