North of the Sinclaire Bay beach ridges, the coast trends north for 5 km to Cape Gloucester then turns and heads east. This shoreline surrounds a 15 km2, 400 m high series of hills that link to the mainland at Dingo Beach. Around the base of the hills are the two Sinclaire Bay beaches, then a series of 11 beaches between the bay and Dingo Beach. All are low energy, generally face west to north and are well protected by their orientation and Gloucester Island, which lies 1 km immediately north of Cape Gloucester. A vehicle track from Dingo Beach runs to Sinclaire Bay then up the coast to Cape Gloucester. On the eastern side of the cape is an open, 1.5 km wide, north facing bay containing two curving beaches separated by a low beachrock point. The first (979) is 1.1 km long, the second (980) is 700 m. Both are fronted by 400 m wide intertidal sand and rock flats. The first beach forms the eastern side of the Cape Gloucester foreland and is backed by low beach ridges, while bedrock hill slopes back the shore to the east.
