Notch Hill is the 350 m high northern crest of the spur, that has two 300 m long, north-east facing beaches on its eastern side, both backed by steep, vegetated slopes. The first (1020) has a narrow strip of high tide, white coral rubble, fronted by a cobble to boulder intertidal beach, with large rocks increasing toward the northern end of the beach. The second (1021) is similar, but with rocks increasing toward the southern point and a small creek emerging in the centre of the beach.
