From Shark Bay to Beach 920, the beaches are fronted by shallow sand flats and then coral-rock flats, resulting in a low energy shoreline that can only be approached at high tide. Shark Bay is a 700 m long indentation in the rocky shore, that extends from the mouth of the creek separating it from Beach 914, up to a rocky headland. It contains a near-continuous, sandy shore, broken by rock outcrops into two beaches. Shark Bay (south) (915) is 500 m long, extending from the southern creek mouth to a small rocky outcrop, with a second smaller creek crossing the centre of the beach. About ten shacks lies in amongst the trees behind the beach.
